New for 2015

Tumbleweeds charts tumble out whenever.  They're not very regular as you can see.

I have had this one ready for a while but the printers couldn't accommodate it toward the latter half of the year so it had to wait.

Tumbleweeds have a following which is why I won't quit doing them.

Besides, they look good in our house.  :) here is the design we ship this month.  It's called Broken Arrow Ranch.

It even comes complete with a tiny bow-legged ranch hand!

There is another Tumbleweed on the drawing board which I may release in the fall.

American Frontier

Last month we released The American Frontier.......I updated the web site but forgot my blogs!

American Frontier
This is the third Tumbleweeds release by Little House but won't be the last!  Later this year we will release one more.

This design is a combination of all things I love.....history, the west and Americana . . . . all in a muted palette.  The frame is from Valley House Primitives.........they make amazing frames with beautiful finishes!

Cowgirl Country!

Oh how I love painted ponies, jack rabbits and cowgirl boots!

This design is so fun.  You can stitch the design as a whole or in sections like I did.

Adding the twine and buttons makes it a wonderful mixed-media finish.
I am sure that there are those of you who will come up with even more creative ways of stitching and presenting this chart.

Here in Tucson it's rodeo week.  Cowgirl Country fits right into our festivities.

This design will be in shops near the end of February.

The mounting wool is from Weeks Dye Works.
You can see the supply list
Look under the heading "Tumbleweeds."

These designs would also look great on black fabric!

The buttons were purchased at Michael's.
You could come up with any number of clever ways to
arrange the designs and fill the spaces.
I just love her lasso!

Next month we release "The American Frontier"
in this new line from Little House.
Until then. . . . . . . . . . .

A little preview . . . . . . .

So some of you have been wondering if all of the Tumbleweeds will have a southwest primitive look and the answer is "no."

I thought I would show you a snip of "Cowgirl Country" will which feature three fun pieces you can stitch as one design or three and put them together on wool.

This design features some of my favorite elements ever.  We will ship it mid-February.

That's all for now. . . . . .

The first in the new line. . . . . .

Happy New Year to you all.

The name of the first chart in this new series from Little House is so appropriate.

The Journey.

It says so much in just two words.

I have written so much about this chart that I don't feel there is anything more to say except, here it is.

Valley House Primitives created the frame for us and I think they did a beautiful job. The supply list will be on the LHN web site this week.  Look for the new tab named "Tumbleweeds."

For you Ron. . . with all my love.

Next month there will be another release in this line called "Cowgirl Country."

Rabbits, and horses and lassos, OH MY!

Happy Trails to you!

Western style anyone???

Ron and I have talked about creating this sub-category of patterns within the Little House line for a while now.  It wasn't until I designed "The Journey" that I gave it more serious thought. My husband loves all things western. . . .cowboys, wagon wheels, boots and tumbleweeds blowing across the western desert in those old cowboy films he likes to watch.  It seems only right that I dedicate this line of designs to him.

The logo at the top is what will appear on the patterns.  It will also say "a division of Little House Needleworks" and that it is designed by me.

In January we will release "The Journey." and then after that a few more western styled designs.  I will not stop the design work for the LHN line with the brown house in the corner.  We have plenty of those coming too . . . this is just an addition.  Once the first design is released I will create a page on our web site for this line of designs.

Until then. . . . . . . . .

Happy trails to you!
